2022 Awards Presentation Party

With various key people unavailable towards the end of last year, the decision was taken to delay the 2022 awards party until early this year. And so it was on the 12th February that about 70 members of the club and their families gathered at Jump Giants West London for an evening of bouncing, eating, and celebrating the achievements of every one of the club’s riders throughout 2022.

Before the main event, the Hawks bounced their hearts out, ably assisted by Jay Gee, the Jump Giants mascot.

After that, was food - pizza, chips and dips - most of the kids looked like Christmas had come again! It was great to get everyone together in one place and to be able to say hello to people that don’t normally mix between their respective training sessions, unless at a club race or regional event.

The Main Event - The Awards Ceremony

The part of the event that everyone was there for! Scott and Margaret, who’d travelled up from Dorset, were presenting awards. It was great to see the club come together to celebrate all the riding that happened last year, and of course, the people who stood out owing to their exceptional achievements and successes. The awards, and their winners are listed below.

Male Rider Of The Year : Charlie Roy

Female Rider Of The Year : Poppy Bishop

Senior Male Rider Of The Year : Shaun Tobin

Senior Female Rider Of The Year : Megan Roy

Male Most Improved Rider : Aidan Dowling

Female Most Improved Rider : Penny Blackburn

Novice Rider Of The Year : Malachi Smith

Rider’s Rider Of The Year : Dylan Slatter

Coaches’ Rider Of The Year (Male) : Cody Coker

Coaches’ Rider Of The Year (Female) : Iris Hajda

Congratulations to all of you. Each of you deserved winners of your award!

Thanks!

This event was organised by Eve, with contributions from Bridget, Caroline, Gemma, and Sarah. Donna and Suzanne assisted by selling tickets from the container on Saturdays. Scott organised the trophies. A massive thank you to all of them for pulling this all together. It was so good to see the Hawks together.

And lastly, not forgetting the most important thank you of all - thank you to all the Hawks riders and parents and guardians - without you, none of this would be worth doing.
