Jump Club / TNT’s Racing Under The Lights, Round 4
The 4th and final round of Jump Club / TNT’s Racing Under the Lights winter race series took place at the relatively new and extremely impressive track and skate park facility in Bexhill.
Four intrepid Hawks riders made the journey to the East Sussex coastal town to enjoy an evening of floodlit racing on a 6 gate track, Poppy, Holly and Noah having completed all 4 rounds in the series and Malachi just two.
Next, to Holly and Malachi, both racing in expert 7 – 8. The first 2 motos saw them racing each other with Malachi taking first and Holly second each time. The final moto saw them in separate races where Holly took first in hers and Malachi second in his. The final proved to be a real battle of wills between Malachi, Holly and a rider from another club, Oliver. No transponders to record time but all three saved the best till last with a thunderous performance to the finish line. In the end it was to be Malachi’s race with Oliver taking second and Holly third.
Finally to little brother Noah in the 6 and under category who enjoyed pedalling and pumping around the track in his colourful riding pants and big smile. He took 3rd in his final combined race and 1st overall in his category. A sterling performance from this little chap!
As this was the final race in the series, the end of racing for the day signalled trophy presentation time.
A big congratulations to Poppy who took overall 3rd in the expert 9 – 10 category, Holly who took 2nd expert 7 – 8 and Noah who took 1st in expert 6 and under.
Well done to all you 4, and thanks to Jump Club and TNT for hosting the series.
